19,000,000 apps and counting…

A mere four days after Corona-made apps topped the 18 million mark in downloads, we just got word that your apps have now broken 19 million downloads across iOS, Android, and NOOK Color so far in 2011!

Awesomely big numbers aside, this only reinforces our wholehearted assertion that Corona developers (that’s you!) make the best apps on the market. It’s one thing to have lots of developers using your platform, but it speaks to your platform’s integrity and viability when the community it attracts (again, you guys!) can pass such increasingly enormous milestones in decreasingly small increments of time.

Unfortunately, our graphic designer is off on weekends, so I had to try updating the counter on our homepage myself…

…Of course, 19 million is only a minimal figure, based on numbers that you guys have voluntarily shared with us.

If you’d like to be included in the count, feel free to send us a note telling us how many times your app has been downloaded (we’ll never share your figures unless you ask us to!), and you’ll probably see an even bigger number up here in the very near future!
