Corona SDK × Adknowledge = App monetization!
Today, we’re announcing a Voltron-type formation with the app monetization whizzes over at Adknowledge.
What does that mean for you? Well, now Corona SDK subscribers will have access to Adknowledge’s Super Rewards platform through our Daily Builds. Super Rewards is a suite of monetization options that you will now be able to integrate seamlessly into your Corona-made apps (iOS only for now, with Android coming in the near future!).
Super Rewards is the original “virtual currency” provider that has been monetizing apps on the world’s top social platforms, casual games, and MMO‘s for years. With Super Rewards, you can connect with and reward more of your app’s users with points, virtual goods, or virtual currency for completing offers or paying directly with their credit card, mobile phone, or a plethora of other payment options. The best part of it all, of course, is that it’s now fully integrated with Corona SDK — which means you can start earning revenue from your apps now!
In a nutshell: Super Rewards enables you to shift more users from free to paid, increasing your revenue while still providing a highly-engaging user experience through your app.

For more details about monetizing via Super Rewards, visit our trusty ol’ Corona page; subscribers can get juicier details at our Super Rewards documentation page.
Again, Super Rewards for now will only work for iOS and is available to Corona SDK subscribers through daily builds.
Also, this won’t be the last of our monetization-related Corona updates either — we still have a few more surprises cooking up for you in the Ansca laboratories!
Lastly, we’re always happy to hear your questions/comments/angry rants in the comments below…
any samples to illustrate usage. Plus the subscribers page does not show, just gives “You are not authorized to view this page” error.
This is great news! But I’m getting the same not authorized message. Found the new Credits Sample Code though. Trying to figure out how to make the inside-app transactions, like buying items and Apple IAP for adding credits.
Yup. I’m getting the “Not Authorized” message as well.
I would like native apple iAd to Corona SDK, or at least admob because it’s compatible with both android and iOS.
The same here…

Did anyone know of any iOS app using SuperRewards credits instead of Apple’s in-app purchase for unlocking full game? Is Apple ok with this as they will be loosing revenue?
Sounds great in practice, but how does this fit in with Apples latest purge on apps that offer rewards and incentives for installing other apps and their attempts to shut down all alternative revenue streams that don’t provide Apple with their 30% cut?
As a specialist in “constructive negativity” (forgive me Carlos!) I recalled and found again the following TouchArcade articles for you:

I don’t say that this “reward system” should not be a Corona feature. It’s an additional option and that’s absolutely nice. However you should pay attention to Apple’s rejections before making the full plan for your next release.
It’s disappointing that there isn’t a native admob widget — it’s a proven monetization technique that all platforms support.
I don’t want to sound snarky or unappreciative of your guys efforts (honest, I have a lot of respect for you) but this feels sort of sleezy — I personally abhor these types of systems and I don’t see I’ll ever use them.
As I said it’s a crying shame that the more universally accepted admob system is not supported.
One final question (in the interest of transparency) — I assume Ansca get’s a ‘cut’ of revenue, can you confirm that and share where that cut comes from (does it come out of the developer or is the provider taking a lower percentage?)

Ok – so how “snarky” should I be, with respect to @john?
There is this paragraph in the blogpost that says “Also, this won’t be be our last of our monetization-related Corona updates either — we still have a few more surprises cooking up for you in the Ansca laboratories! (winky face)”
If we were to take a revenue out of the developers cut, how much under the hot seat would we be? The PR, and we (Ansca Mobile) have made that statement, clear, cut and simple: the developers revenue share is still intact and untouched.
And the last bit, because I know you guys will wonder why I didn’t answer if I don’t address the last issue, is Apple OK with this? Well, you all know our history with Apple and the dreaded 3.3.1. So, my stance is the same as it was back in the gloomy days of 3.3.1 — we will NOT do something that will jeopardize our relationship with Apple and our developers. Period.
Now, onto the next phase or our monetization feature set. Just hold tight, and get your wallet on a treadmill because it is about to gain some weight.

@Carlos
Is there a time frame for when we’ll be able to integrate ads into our apps? I’ve got 2 apps pretty much done, but I REALLY need to get some ads into them. Will ad support come before the end of June?
Nice and easy implementation! Kudos to Ansca. I tested with an existing app. It was a breeze to integrate this. I did some research on SuperRewards and found that they do not have pay per install offers in iOS. That would eliminate worries regarding Apple.
BUT I found several offers from SuperRewards offerwall very, very sneaky and on border of being called spam. Offerwall asks for sign up of 1 offer, once you put your information (name, email, even phone), you are bombarded with series of never ending offers. I tried 2 “free” offers and ended up not finishing it. One had errors and the other did not stop coming up with offers.
We need Admob and ingame purchase for both Android and iOS ASAP. And again, is there a time frame for when we’ll be able to integrate ads into our apps?
This is not the Monetezation I was looking for, I need ad support, iAd/Admob etc. iAd seems imperative to me as they have better payouts than Admob and you would think that supporting the apple official would be important to you guys.
+1 ADMOB … as lots of other Users request… hope ANSCA will not just hear us.. also come in ACTION .
